General Changes
- Why is Dunlop Truck Centres rebranding to New West Truck Centres? Last October, New West Truck Centres purchased Dunlop Truck Centres. We’re ready to rebrand the Dunlop locations to create a more comprehensive network of New West Truck Centres dealerships, collision centres and body shops across Alberta and interior BC. - What are the benefits of these changes? This move offers more choices by bringing together the Freightliner and Western Star brands, providing greater access to sales, parts and service options across Western Canada, and providing a broader team of highly skilled team members and technicians with years of experience.
- Will the staff at my local Dunlop location be changing? Likely not. We’ve invited them to stay on as part of the New West Truck Centres team to ensure continuity and provide the exceptional service you’ve come to expect.
- Will the operating hours be changing? No. All location hours will remain the same. Visit our website for specific location hours.
- Will the dealership contact information be the same at each location? Addresses and main phone numbers remain the same. Dunlop email addresses will transition to “@newwesttruck.com” soon, with email forwarding ensuring a smooth switch.
Billing, Invoices & Financing
- What happens to my existing account? Will it transfer over? Yes, your account will transfer over to New West Truck Centres. You do not need to re-apply or fill out any additional paperwork at this time.
- Will my credit limit change with the transition? No, your existing credit limit will be transferred over to New West Truck Centres. You do not need to re-apply or fill out any additional paperwork at this time.
- Will my financing terms change? No, New West Truck Centres will honour your existing financing terms. You do not need to re-apply or fill out any additional paperwork at this time.
- Will invoicing and payment be changed? Invoices will continue to be issued and paid under Dunlop Western Star Truck Centres Ltd. until November 1, 2024. After that, they will be issued and paid to New West Truck Centres.

- Where can I get body shop work done? Our rebranded New West Truck Centres Lethbridge dealership at 4110 9 Avenue North will continue to handle your body shop needs for any makes or models. Taber
- What happens to the Taber location? For now, things will remain largely the same. You’ll continue to receive the exceptional service and expertise you’ve come to expect from our team. Your existing credit and financing agreements and their terms will remain unchanged. Invoicing and billing for parts and services will remain under Dunlop Western Star Truck Centres Ltd. until November 1, 2024. After that, all invoicing and billing will come from New West Truck Centres.
As of February 2024, the Taber location no longer sells trucks: for Freightliner purchases, please visit the New West Lethbridge dealership at 1001 41 Street North, Lethbridge, AB and for Western Star purchases, please see the New West Lethbridge dealership at 4110 9 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB. - Why does the sign still say Dunlop? While most locations have completed the rebranding process, signage changes at our Taber location may experience a slight delay due to local approval processes. Rest assured, the exceptional service and support you’ve come to expect from the team at Taber remains the same.
- Will the Taber location still sell trucks? Lethbridge (9th Ave.)
- What happens to the Lethbridge (9 Ave.) location? The sales, parts, services and body shop repairs at this Western Star location will remain the same. You’ll continue to receive the exceptional service and expertise you’ve come to expect from our team. Your existing credit and financing agreements and their terms will remain unchanged. Invoicing and billing for parts and services will remain under Dunlop Western Star Truck Centres Ltd. until November 1, 2024. After that, all invoicing and billing will come from New West Truck Centres.
Cranbrook (Cobham Ave.)
- What happens to the Cranbrook (Cobham Ave.) location? This location will become a dual-branded Freightliner/Western Star dealership. It will be right next door to the Rocky Mountain Collision Centre, which will continue to handle all makes and models of auto and heavy-duty truck collision repairs. See our website contact details.
- Can I get warranty work done at Cranbrook (Cobham Ave.)? Yes, warranty work will be available for both Freightliner and Western Star trucks.
Medicine Hat
- What happened to the Medicine Hat location? We’ve already consolidated our Dunlop operation into a new, dual-branded Freightliner/Western Star New West Truck Centres location at 2150 South Highway Drive SE, Redcliff, AB. Visit the New West website for more location information.
